El Pícaro Tinta de Toro 2020

Tasting: Tinta de Toro, although Tempranillo, is generally considered a DNA variant of Tempranillo, it has smaller berries and ticker skins so makes much bigger wines than Tempranillo in the Duero valley generally does. The ‘young’ wine in the range from Bodegas Matsu, even though it has no barrel aging it is a powerful and intense wine, notes of dark fruit, blackberries, liquorice, complexity and spice.
