La Poulosa 2019
Tasting: Raúl Pérez is considered one of the icon winemakers of Spain’s northwest, learning from one of the pioneers of the resurgence of Bierzo (as well as, and more famously, Priorat) Álvaro Palacios, Raúl’s name is now synonymous with Bierzo. From the La Vizcaína range, each wine is named after the single vineyard from which the fruit originates. La Poulosa is a 2 hectare vineyard that dates back to 1940. Bright and vibrant notes of red fruits, cherries, mountain strawberries and an underling cacao and black fruit note.
