El Patio de Valdemonjas Tinto Fino 2022

Tasting: The outstanding wines of Alejandro Moyano are as poetic to drink as the labels and their names would suggest. An award-winning winery, self-sufficient and completely off the electricity and water supplies vinifies the organically grown Tinto Fino – the local name for Tempranillo – with the minimum of handling. El Patio de Valdemonjas is a special no added sulphur, magnum only bottling from the ‘Patios’ it’s ‘lower slope’ vineyards – lower slope but still at 740m above sea level! Medium bodied, bright, juicy red fruit, zingy raspberry, strawberry compote, silky texture and as with all of Alejandro’s wines a pleasing underlying graphite quality. This wine simply makes you smile when you drink it!
