Màquina y Tabla

Màquina y Tabla is Oriol and Susana, a small family business started in 2012, they source fruit from the best terroirs of Castilla y León, from the slate terraces of the Gredos, to the slopes of Bierzo, and across the moors of the Duero in Toro and Rueda. They started their project from scratch, they’ve extensively travelled through these areas of Spain to find the ‘oldest and most peculiar vineyards’.

 

Working very closely with growers, viticulture is sustainable and biodynamic, their work seeks to produce terroir led expressions of place, intelligently made, and delivering a different perspective on their regions. Their Toro wines are graceful and delicate a departure from the usual big, hot, oaky reds of the region. Wines from Bierzo are all about freshness and elegance, rather than heavy extraction and new oak, and their Gredos wines focus on old, high altitude vineyards, showcasing the ethereal quality of Gredos Garnacha.
